What is the best way to lube the mag?

I never lubricate my mags.  I may take one apart now and then, if it gets real dirty, wipe it down and put it back together.

Mags do not need lubrication.

They are made of metal and have moving parts so they do need lube for protection and maxium life. Clean them really well and apply a very light coating on the spring and sides of the follower.

WIth every new mag I get, I take it apart and put CLP on a rag and wipe the spring down. Other than that, the plastic follower on the metal body doesnt require lube imho.

There is no need to lube the inside of mags when SS springs are used.  After cleaning the interior of the mag, use a dry rag to wipe out any remaining solvent/lube.  CS springs will rust, so give them a light coat of CLP if you're so inclined.  If you feel the need for lube inside the mag body, Remington Dry Lube works but doesn't stay wet and attract crud as much as most.
