Picked up a used barrel at a gun show to make a rifle from spare parts.  Didn't examine the barrel close enough.  Was more concerned with the throat.  The muzzle end has some blue green crusties on the crown inside the flash suppressor that aren't coming off with Breakfree.  When I was in the Army, my platoon sgt's instructed me to scrape it off with a coat hangar segment smashed with a hammer or a small screw driver.  I don't want to scrape the crown of my personal rifles.  I have never let my own firearms get to this point.  What solvents do you guys recommend?

Green is from copper.  Find your self a copper solvent, something from Hopps or Breakfree work work well.
