I had oiled my guns and pistols with breakfree clp for about 3 to 4 yrs. I put silicone impregnated gun socks over my weapons and then put them in a gun case for storage. I just looked and reoiled my guns for long term storage. there was not a spot of rust anywhere on my 15 weapons.

| I always use them for storage. They also are a good way to protect your guns when carrying in your range bag and taking out and placing on the range bench. I lay the sock under the (usually handgun)on the range table to prevent any possible scratches. They also can be used to do a quick wipe of the weapon. I've used them for longer-term storage in soft bags and have never seen any rust on any gun. |
IM SOLD ON THE SILICONE SOCKS I LIVE IN SWFL ( very wet) I have my GRANDDADS M37 12ga ( I got it when I turn 12. now 40 something) its been sitting for MANY YEARS with ZERO RUST JUST CLEAN REAL GOOD BEFORE STICKING AWAY |
