Any tips for removing a flash hider? The gun has the bayo. lug so I think I should be removable right? Any way to tell if it is pinned or soldered? Will heat help, if so how much? How much omphff does it take if it is from the factory? Thanks.

I had to use a crescent/adjustable wrench with a little muscle and mine came right off. to make it even easier, have someone else hold the rifle while you wrench it off.

I would use barrel vise jaws before I attempted to remove the flash hider.   If you just grabe a big wrench and crank on the flash hider with the rifle between your legs, you just might spring the upper receiver.  Take a close look at the 6 O'clock position on the flash hider for signs of weld or solder.

Pick up a peel washer or crush washer before you remove it, so you can properly index the flash hider when you reinstall it.
