I would just add; do not let strong ammonia bases cleaners soak in the barrel too long. I've heard that ammonia can cause pitting in stainless steel. I usually use an ammonia based cleaner for copper fouling and don't let it sit in the barrel for more than 15 to 20 minutes. By following this procedure I have not had a problem and my barrels stay copper free. |
