I just got a Pre Ban PWA Commando. Upon breaking it down to look inside I noticed that the buffer retaining pin and spring were loose inside the hammer assy. I noticed no damage and put all the parts back in the right place. The problem is that the retaining pin pops out when the action is cycled.

Is there a set screw or some thing that keeps that pin from coming out?

Thanks

your reciver extension is not screwed in enough.

the buffer pin and spring are not needed for function. If you find your reciver extension is all the way in you could pull the parts out, instead of getting a new reciver extension.

If the stock is a sliding one. usally one rotation will fix the issue.

Thanks

It looks like there are several therads left to screw in the extension. If the pin is not needed for function, should I screw in the extension any way? I have 3 threads left till the extension partily covers the buffer pin hole.

the more threads the stock has the stronger the rifle.

i took out ALL of my buffers after i had 2 shear and jam the shit out of the bolt. i no longer use them in ANY of my guns.

What type reciver extension you have?
fixed A2 bearing surface should bottom out on the lower.
sliding can have threads showing.

edit.

the reciver extension should partically cover the retaining pin. Look in the build it yourself section for posted pics on what the rifle should look like.
