so does anyone have any clever ways of cleaning & lubing under a free float handgard?
i have a yankee hill.

You could try spraying out underneath it with Break-Free Powder Blast or any other brand of spray weapons cleaner. Lubing might be trickier. Maybe spray some CLP then blow out the excess with compressed air.

Or, take a rag lightly soaked in CLP and slip it inbetween the barrel and HG’s. Then manover it around as best as possibly leaving behind a light coat of lube.

Use a dry spray lube.  Maybe one that is a cleaner as well.  Tetra, One-shot, Strike-Hold etc.

Don't listen to the leave it alone advice, unless you are in a very dry area, and never get it wet.  Rust is usually considered a bad thing.

You would be surprised how much crud builds up under there.....it should be cleaned up once in a while.
