Just found an old crate of MIL-C-372C, which a quick google search reveals is military surplus bore cleaner.  The cans I have are dated 1986.  Haven't opened one yet but some of the fluid is leeching out of the screw-on caps.  My understanding is that the stuff has been stored in the heat (outdoors) of AZ and, most recently, in direct sunlight for who knows how long.

I didn't want to search this site for "milsurp bore cleaner" because I wasn't sure if it would drum up this stuff specifically, or a bunch of different cleaners from a bunch of different countries/eras.

Soooo... Any chance (after the storage fiasco) this stuff is still good?  What's in it, anyway, and should I even use it on my firearms?

Thanks.

I have a can of MIL-PRF-372D that I have been using for quite some time and I really like it. I don't know how the MIL numbering system works but I bet it's similar.

Thanks.  Does it work on copper fouling, or just lead and carbon?
