Ive reccently started using sweets and love the stuff.  Does it or any other amonia based copper remover have an effect on bronz brushes?

My DPMS seems like it takes an ungodly amount of cleaning just after a few shots and Im still getting a wad of "blue goo" after each round of scrubbing.

Could this be the Sweets disolving parts of the brush leaving me with a "loaded" blue patch while the bore is actually clean??

For chits and giggles after about an hour of cleaing I ran a wet patch thru and let it set for about 10 min, then ran a dry one with no scrubbing and there was almost zero blue residue on the dry patch.

this IS the Sweets disolving parts of the brush.

remember what a bronze brush contains.

I use a plastic jag when working with copper removes and never use a brush.

Also good idea to soak/rinse off your brush if your using sweets with Ac.

You may notice that the bronze brush travels very freely through the bore now. When using Sweets I use a nylon brush with a steel core, very carefully.
