[ARCHIVED THREAD] - question about dpms lower

I have a dpms lower that i bought used from a dealer here in town do all dpms lowers require the larger hammer and trigger pins? Also if it is not too much trouble could someone give me a list of ar manufactures that require large pins and the ones that require small pins.

Small pins for my DPMS.

I believe that some Colts use larger pins. Don't know of any other makes that use large pins.

do you think the holes can get rounded out to much

I believe they can. I have never had that kind of problem and I have been shooting ARs for many years. Maybe someone else can shine some light on the topic.

Sounds like the holes might have been elongated and someone opened them up to accept the larger FCG pins.

DPMS are small pins.

Why one would hog the lower out to .170 DIA when mil-spec items are much simpler to find.
