I use a Gunk product called "Gunk Super Spray", but they no longer make it. It was a great de-greaser for cleaning gun parts and my brushes that had grease on them,.... and it was cheap . Now that I no longer can get this, does anybody have an inexpensive de-greaser recommendation?

Try using automotive brake cleaner. I purchase mine at WalMart. Great for flushing out parts or degreasing.

Is there a particular brand you like or are they all about the same. Thanks, Bags

I buy the Primis brand. It’s non-chlorinated brake cleaner which is safer for you and most plastics it gets in contact with. But test it just to be sure. I personally have not had problems with it. But the most I use it for is degreasing parts before re-finishing or hosing out the bore and chamber. It does clean up bronze bore brushes as well.

+1 for brake cleaner. It also works as great stain remover from clothes, carpets, etc.

We actually used P-D-680 solvent in the military for cleaning and de-greasing our  helicopters and components.  P-D-680 is also commonly known as Dry Cleaning Solvent!

The best value in a cleaner that is designed for guns is.
Kleenbore Gunk Out.
