All you DPMS fans out there: This is the company I'm leaning toward for my first AR. My question is how difficult are they to clean since I'm reading they are not chrome lined? Are they a pain to clean? Thanks! |

I bought a dpms as my first ar...after proper break-in, the barrel was a lot easier to clean. If I had it to do again, i'd go for a chrome-lined. I would also have built it myself, cause I can get exactly what I want...usually cheaper and better quality. I know enough about DPMS now, I would not buy another one of their complete rifles...or anyone else's complete rifle for that matter. That said, I do enjoy my dpms and it has been 100% reliable. By the way, I believe DPMS does offer chrome lining...custom order basis. |
Chrome lining is an option with them just like many AR makers. I just got my 1st AR (a DPMS) last week and it has a chrome lined barrel. If memory serves me correct the DPMS website says chrome lining is $32 extra when you order from them. |
