I keep my Bushy AR in a floor safe with a goldenrod inside to push the moisture up and out, so in that context, how often should I clean and/or lube in between trips to the range? I clean/lube after shooting of course but sometimes there are several months between trips to the range (pregnant wife+3 kids = no range time!!). Any good rules of thumb out there?

thanks

I would try once a month. Disassemble, run a CLP soaked patch through the bore, use that patch to wipe down the bolt and carrier. Lightly spray a 1” paint brush with CLP and dust down the outside of your rifle. Wipe off any excess CLP with a black t-shirt.

Quib,

Do you suffer from lint-o-phobia?

For storage, I would recommend BC sheath, this product will coat the metal and seal out moisture. When ready to shoot, wipe with a rag, run a patch through the bore and your ready.
