Yea, I know, sounds like a sealant, but it's a lube. I've been using it in my SKS's, bolt actions and rolling blocks with great result, so tried it in my AR's. My impressions are that as a lube, it works just fine. Inspection shows no undue wear. And when it comes time to clean, carbon wipes off without a lot of work. Compared with the Breakfree CLP I tried (not scientific, just tried one, then the other on different range sessions), the action seemed less cruddy and cleaned faster. Now I don't use it to clean but a patch wet with the stuff will lift carbon. (I never bought into the 'lube AND cleaner in one', I use Gunslick carbon cleaner and Shooters Choice Copper cleaner to clean). I have guns that have been shot with corossive ammo, cleaned properly then stored long term with it with no ill effect, just a once a month inspection and a rare quick relube and they look just fine. Ok, it doesn't smell good, but I don't go outa my way to sniff the stuff .This is my experience with it; just wondering if anybody else has ever tried it? Tzvia |
