Any recommendations for what I should have in the shop for a new AR owner?  I already ordered a multi wrench from DPMS and use Dewey cleaning products, but what are the essentials?

For barrel cleaning I use Hoppes Semi-Auto Solvent, leaves no residue.

I lube with FP-10.

Right or wrong, that's what I do and have been into AR's since 1986. My method has changed to this one over the last few years and it works for 10 AR's.

Parts: Spare bolt, extractor, firing pin, springs, gas rings, etc. (a spare LPK kit is real good IMO).

I carry a complete spare bolt in the rifle along with a spare firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, and a cam pin. I modified a Magpul pistol grip to hold these securely. Spare bolt gets tested for headspace yearly along with the regular bolt. BSW
