My 6920 barrel which is black I guess got dragged across a part of my guncase that is probably aluminum.  It left a scrape mark that is silver and appears to be a scratch and not metal stuck in the machine marks.  What can I use to get rid of this or at least dull it some?

Thanks,
Aaron

The SafeQueen Colt is scarred for life.  We all know damn well that it never would have come from the factory like that!

Well I guess there was a little advice in there somewhere.  The upper was not perfect when I got it, and it is a shooter, but the scratch appears to be bare metal and about 4" long and pisses me off.

i thought you said "rubbed"

i doubt the scratch is through the surface.

There are touch-up pens for this sort of thing at brownell's and midwayusa.

Turn it over, scratch the other side, and then take it to the range.
Wear them scratches proudly

That's a good idea also, but I decided to try the bronze brush and CLP first.  I was able to get it all out with the brush.  Thanks for the suggestion Nate1.

I would try the brush and CLP first, otherwise you can use that Norell's moly resin.  I have a couple "shooter" type uppers I just used flat black spray paint on, worked fine for me.
