I don't like the way my trigger pull has become.  Once I take up the excess pull it starts to hard hard and almost gritty.  It takes more force than it should right at the point that it releases the hammer.

I assume it's because it's dirty in there, but I haven't found a way to clean it good enough.  Short of stripping the parts out of the lower, how do you guys clean it?  I normally squirt some CLP or solvent down in there and let it sit, then brush whatever parts I can get to with a toothbrush and q-tips.  But there are a lot of hidden surfaces down there, how do I clean it??

I typically use CLP and Qtips, but if that doesn't work just push the pins and remove the parts if you have to...

Sometimes aerosol cans of oil are good for blowing crap out of places you cant normally get to...

If you think the lower is dirty, take some Brake Cleaner (or any other "Gun Scrubber alternative) and spray the trigger group thorughly. Follow up with a few blasts of air, and a few drops of CLP on the sear area. Wipe off any excess brake cleaner, and you're good to go.

Use CLP sparingly on the trigger group. One drop on the sear is all you need. If you lube the pins, and springs, blow the action out with some air, and dry as much as possible so as not to collect a lot of dirt.

The lower doesn't need a lot of cleaning like the upper. I usually just hit it with some compressed air, and if the trigger is feeling OK, I leave it at that.

YMMV
