[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mobil 1?????

I recently purchased a tube of MD Labs XF7 lube and in the instructions it said to apply 30 weight synthetic motor oil to the bolt carrier race. I asked my local gunsmith about it and he said it should work. Has anyone else heard of this?hing

motor oil can be used when CLP is not around on a AR15

no problem, clp is just the recomended product to be used for it does all 3 where mobil 1 only lubes. thats all.
