I used RemOil to do the first cleaning on my Brandy New Colt Mt6400C. I sprayed the handle and sight area and now that does not have a trace of Cosomo what so ever. In fact I'm impressed of the outcome of the entire Rifle. Also I used compressed air to blow remOil from parts.

If you use kerosene...pour some in a oil drain pan or whatever you have.Use a parts washing brush or paint brush to wet the parts with and to scrub.Works pretty fast...especially if you have a couple to degrease.

At work I use N-propylbromine to clean all sorts of presser gauges(mainly the inside of the tubes in the gage). I wonder how N-Propy would work? I noticed it cleans right down into the pours of the metals so i would imagine it would wipe out all the oil that would protect it's surface.
