[ARCHIVED THREAD] - FF and cleaning

I apologize if this has been covered in this forum already. I've been reading about the installation process for FF fore ends, KAC, LaRue, etc. Seems fairly permanent and I'm sure that's the goal. My question is how does one go about cleaning under that area if the tube isn't removeable? Not like popping off the handguards and getting to work.

I would imagine that spray cleaners and lubes would do...

I have never taken off one of my FF handguards but I do look inside with a flashlight and have never seen any crud on barrels that have thousands of rounds through them. I guess most crud just burns off. Good reason to keep that round count high.
