Has any one used the spray on gunkote on lower receiver? How did it work out? Reason I ask is the instructions say heat at 300 degrees for 1 hour and I want to make sure the prolonged heat will not adverselly affect the receiver. Thanks in advance for comments. roy |

Also, Make sure to check clearances on reassembly. sometimes ya get a bit of a "Puddle" that can bind up some of the finer parts like detent springs, Mag catch etc. The excess comesoff with a bit of fussing so it's no big deal really. Unless of course you just slap the parts back on and have to disassemble again looking for the glitch. Just a heads up. Great stuff! Additionally, as a safety precaution, make sure you open all the windows in the kitchen, and make sure-double damn sure, the 'ol lady is gonna be out of the house for at least 4-5 hours. They seem to take a dim view of stinky rifles getting baked for some reason! S-28 |
