Has any one used the spray on gunkote on lower receiver? How did it work out? Reason I ask is the instructions say heat at 300 degrees for 1 hour and I want to make sure the prolonged heat will not adverselly affect  the receiver.
Thanks in advance for comments.

Just make sure you strip the reciever of all parts and thoroughly degrease or you will get poor adhesion and flaking around pin holes.  I borked my first application years ago so I know!

Also,

Make sure to check clearances on reassembly. sometimes ya get a bit of a "Puddle" that can bind up some of the finer parts like detent springs, Mag catch etc.
The excess comesoff with a bit of fussing so it's no big deal really.
Unless of course you just slap the parts back on and have to disassemble again looking for the glitch.
Just a heads up.
Great stuff!

Additionally, as a safety precaution, make sure you open all the windows in the kitchen, and make sure-double damn sure, the 'ol lady is gonna be out of the house for at least 4-5 hours.
They seem to take a dim view of stinky rifles getting baked for some reason!
