I noticed that my PWA lower doesn't have a spring or pin under the bolt release. I have removed the bolt release and picke dup a spring a pin at a gunshow. I am wondering first if I have the right parts, and second if they are right, is the receiver drilled right for the spring and pin. I have come to the following conclusions: (The parts don't fit) Either the pin and spring are not the right parts The bolt release is not to spec The receiver isn't drilled properly. The clearance under the bolt release is probably 1/8". Under the catch the receiver is drilled only to allow a seat for the spring. The pin that I got is about 1/4". I can't figure out which is the problem. Is the receiver supposed to have a hole there for the spring to go in to the receiver and for the pin to compress in to the hole? If anyone knows, how deep is it supposed to be? I am wanting to drill the hole last. As it currently stands, neither the pin or the spring can fit under the bolt release. |
