I have seen many videos and they all seem to fall short. These are the categories I want to see:

1) Identify parts
2) How to lube and prepare for storage
3) How to do routine cleaning
4) How to do heavy duty cleaning
5) Spare parts lists for common worn out parts
6) All above using the tools and material advertised here. i.e. hoppes, blue gel, mil-tec, clp, mpro7, etc. Use common tools i.e. Dewey cleaning snake, dewey cleaning rod, bore guides, chamber brushes, jags, size patches, and other material. Maybe pipe cleaners, Q-tips, etc.

Is anyone else disappointed in the lack of depth in the video's marketed?

I, at a minimum, want a book that will allow me to clean and maintain. Any advice?

Yes get the M16 manual. Look on this site for links to it. Its better than most of the other stuff out there and its free.

Kuleck's "AR owner's guide" is a good investment for $20. Lots of good info in all areas. The USMC tech manuals are also a good source of maintenance info, if somewhat dry reading.
