I finally got to shot my new Bushy M4 while camping and had something worrisome take place.  My friend and I were helping each other clean our ARs after the brake-in.  I held the ARs while he ran the brush and snake down the barrel.  He accidentally ran a .38 brush down my barrel the first time, and since it was getting a little dark we didn't realize it until it was in the barrel!  The brake-in we used a .22 brush obviously, but somehow he picked out the .38 brush for our cleaning.

No telling if it did any damage, for I never had a chance to test it at long range for problems.

Did we ruin the barrel you think?  I can believe this

You guys didn't hurt a thing. Those chromed barrels are much harder than a stupid brush.

It is highly unlikely you did any harm at all to a chrome lined bore with a bronze brush.

My friend and I didn't really think so, but I wanted to ask the experts here on AR15.com.  Just worried me a little.  I can see myself fvcking up an expensive gun after just getting it.  Nevermind the fact my other less expensive firearms are always just fine.  I can breathe easier now.

Thanks,
Chris
