| I bought a new Odin works 6.5 grendel barrel and a sjc titan comp. The guy that makes the comp says "there's no need for a crush washer, that's how they were designed." Something's not right. It won't thread all the way to the shoulder. Any ideas? Already have a local gunsmith talking to the guy at sjc trying to find a solution. I do not want to use a crush washer. |
Verify the depth needed for the barrel to thread into the comp is deep enough that the end of the threads on the barrel are not bottoming out inside the comp, but if that is correct, then sounds like the comp threads may need to be chased with a bottoming tap to unify the 1/2" X28 pitch threads all the way to the end of the channel instead.
