I have a 15" KMR rail going on a middy gas 16" barrel.

I'm looking at the SLR adjustable gas block but that will be 5" into, and of course under, the hand guard.

Is it stupid to try to get an allen key in there from the front in some way? Long key on vise grips or fashion something to fish it in there?

I don't plan to have to play much with adjustment so a little work sometimesI can deal with.

Just buy an extended allen key.  You'll like the SLR sentry, it's a nice block.

There you go. Thanks, didn't even know they made them.

The Sentry it is.

The SLR Sentry gas block is a good choice, well made and good quality.  An extended allen wrench will work fine, as that is what we use in the shop and when teaching armorer courses.

Thanks! It's been ordered and already on the way.

I would simply adjust the gas flow restriction with the hand guard off of the weapon and be done with it.

^ I'll run with a can off and on. I think I want the ease to adjust sometimes.

I don't anticipate messing around much but I do want to give and adjustable a try.

Cool, that would have been useful information.
