My FIL got a PSA 16" mid rifle kit and PSA stripped lower for Christmas.  We assembled the lower and performed the function check, all seemed well. During the test fire / sight in, we had numerous misfire issues.  A cop friend of the FIL gave some Mobil 1 that their armour uses.  I have never used Mobil 1, but have heard good things, so we used that to lube everything.  I probably used too much, as it seems much heavier than the gun oil I normally used.

After the first few "clicks" I wiped out as much of the Mobil 1 as I could, but this really didn't help.  To attempt troubleshootin, we swapped out the bcgs from my known good gun.  This is where things got weird.  My bcg in his rifle did not fix the problem.  But his bcg in my gun would not fire, either.

At his point, I'm really confused and could use some help.  This is my fourth lower to assemble and have not had any problems before.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

ETA:  I should have mentioned that this is a pre-assembled upper from PSA.
