I built a 300 blkout upper, 16 in barrel with pistol length gas port. Lower has an A2 buffer tube with A2 buffer and spring. When I shoot a round (150 FMJBT) it will cycle the round out and strip a new round from the mag into chamber but when I pull the trigger on next round the hammer is not cocked. If I load a single round she will fire the round and hold the bolt back , as expected. Any thought as to the problem?
thanks in advance |
| Sounds like the hammer is not being locked down to the disconnector. Do you have the springs in place correctly? Are you missing the disconnector spring? I would not fire it again, as it seems that the hammer could hit the firing pin again giving you a double fire. |

| so I checked and I found the pin for the hammer had walked out on one side. I checked that pin against another one from another lower and it is shorter so I replaced it with a longer one. I will take it back to the range next week and see what happens. thanks for the response. I am enjoying shooting the 300. |
