i have a frankengun that i build
Gunbroker barrel, r-guns bcg, yhm gas block, carbine gas system, PSA lpk with buffer etc Well gun ran fine, with YHM gas block (YHM-9381A), i then it changed to an micro YHM gas block (YHM-9383)(due to new FFT) well i switched FFT's again and went back to the YHM-9381A. took it out to the range, about half a mag through the gun i would get FTE's. however it wouldnt stovepipe, the spend casing had flipped 180*'s and the primer end was in the chamber, and a new round was being stripped out of the mag. What could be going on? TIA |

Well it worked before changing the gas block The barrel is dimpled to match the gas block Quoted:
Did you leave the gas tube on,or have you been changing that when you change the gas block? Original gas tube that was on the gun stayed on the gun while I switched the gas blocks |

Something has changed. I'm guessing it's in the gasblock area. Did you try to single shot fire the gun to see if the bolt is locking back? Even if the gun has a bad extractor the bolt should still lock back. no i didnt try that, i will try that on the next range trip, hopefully this weekend and report back Thanks!! |

FYI, the barrel was dimpled for the old gas block, not the new one (placement of the set screws may be different between the blocks).
So on that note, you need to check to confirm that the gas passage of the new block still indexes correctly with the barrel gas port using the old gas block dimple detentes. |

I dimpled the barrel for the original yhm gas block that was on the gun, then I changed to a smaller gas block. Gun ran fine both times. Then I switched back to the original gas block, that is when the issue started. Thanks for the input though. |
