| I assembled a new LPK from PSA, and the disco will not release unless i manually push it down with a punch then the trigger will catch the hammer. I have checked twice making sure the disco spring is oriented the correct way and seated completely. I know i can time the disco if it ISN'T catching the hammer by sanding the front, but can i do the opposite for the back if it is catching the hammer and not releasing? Any advice would be much appreciated, |
| You shouldn't have to sand anything nor would I recommend it. I would completely take out all of the guts, ensure the trigger spring and hammer spring are installed correctly, reassemble, function check and take it from there. I would suppose there is an off chance your lower may be out of spec but that isn't something in my experience you run into very often. |

Any advice would be much appreciated, Burr on the hammer or disco hook. Clean it off carefully with a die-maker's file or small whet stone until the trigger releases the hammer properly. |

So carefully file the disco hook or the mating surface on the hammer? or both? Quoted:
And if it ever came to it, the answer would not be "sanding/filing the back", but instead shimming the disconnector foot at the front. Thanks, thats why i asked, not in the mood for making things dangerous. How would one go about shimming the foot? |
