I just got done building my upper and went to out the bcg in and it's like the gas tube won't let it go in any further but it calls for a mid length gas tube the bcg stick out like an inch or inch and a half any and all suggestions greatly appreciated not sure if it is the gas tube or the bcg

Not sure with the info provided but sounds like the gas tube is to long. You may have an intermediate length gas tube due to your description, or its a carbine length system (7inch) the midlength should be 9 inches (approx). Rifle length tubes are 11 3/4 so don't think thats it. Are you sure the gas tube is lining up?? More info...what brand barrel, gas block, upper, BCG???

Make sure you don't have the roll pin in front of the gas tube. You may have not pushed the tube in far enough and thought you were looking at the hole in the tube. See if you can take the tube out without taking the roll pin out.

Also, to check alignment of the key to gas tube, pull the bolt off the carrier, and dry fit just the carrier with key in the upper alone.
