Hello,
Unfortunately I have a live round stuck in my chamber; I've tried to remove it with pliers but it will not budge. Would anyone happen to have any advice or a link (url) on how to remove?

Thank you!

Gently tap with a wooden dowel from the muzzle...

First step, stopping poking at the primer end with pliers

Second step, try first reply or put it back together and mortar the rifle

Light primer strike?  Bad primer?

As stated, put something between yourself and the barrel, gently tap wooden dowel pin down barrel without putting your hand in front.

Pour some lube around the stuck cartridge (from both ends), let it set, muzzle end up, over night and drive it out the next day. Wear some safety glasses or a face shield as a precaution.

And stop using cheap crap ammo...

Thank you all for the advice; I certainly won't use crappy ammo anymore (even with this cheap plinker build).

I've tried a few times to tap it out without success; I'll try lubing each end for 24 hours and give it another whirl!

PS - I am applying good safety practices to this work.

was it assembled into a firearm?

did you do the correct "mortar" proceedure to eject a stuck round?

I've never understood everyone being quick to suggest putting a rod down the bore to push out a stuck case or round, the potential for damage to the crown and bore is extremely high and should be considered an absolute last resort.

Step 1 take a gi cleaning rod
Step 2 ram it down the barrel !
Bullets can't set off the powder!
Hitting the  primer can ,so don't poke at primer!
Man up don't be a pussy for god sake !
Your not going to ruin the crown.
You all act like your freaking snipers or match shooters and little girls !

Thanks for the tip, this worked like a champ (better than the wood dowels I tried w/ earlier).

Thank you all for your advice, no more cheap ammo for me...

There is always a possibility that sometime in the future you may HAVE to run "cheap" ammo. Call this a learning experience. No harm / no foul. Keep your "tools" handy should you ever need to un-jam another one.

How in the world did that case get in that far?
Looks like wrong ammo for the chamber
