| having issues each time I load the gun the first shot fires then the bolt catches the second round in the middle of the case jamming the action. will cycle normally if you run the charging handle manually but not while firing? |
| sorry more info might be good ha. MA parts upper 556 spikes tacticle lower Brownells spring package and pin set spikes buffer heavy Rguns Nib x bolt and carrier. using federal 556 ammo. gas tube seems clear no resistance when hooking tube to it and blowing. hopefully buffer spring is carbine not rifle length should be, came with spring package. my first complete build ie: all lower parts installed by me upper came with F front sight post and gas tube barrel extension etc. |
| First, make sure that you can manually lock the bolt back and still have some extra rearward travel. Then examine the gas key and check to ensure that it is not loose, damaged or has machining flaws. Also, check to see if an excessive amount of residue is present where the gas tube enters the FSB, and also where the block sits on the barrel. If this checks out, try swapping out the spike's heavy buffer with a standard one and test. Sometimes, the combination of a heavy buffer and extra weight of a full-auto carrier, combined with a gas port on the barrel that is on the low end of tolerances, can cause short stroking. |

What barrel length and what gas system type?
As for your action spring, it's easy enough to verify. Take it out and measure it. If it's between 10-1/16" and 11-1/4" it's a carbine spring. If it measures between 11-3/4" and 13-1/2" its a rifle spring. Standard type COTS springs assumed here. |

Sit at home and charge it a couple hundred times by hand, give it a good cleaning and see if you have any other issue. I got one for my girlfriend and haven't gotten to test fire, but it was definitely tight. |
