I am curious as to why there is no firing pin spring in the AR15, while the AR10 has a spring.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Mark

.308 primers are more prone to slam fires

AR15/M16 was designed and issued with military type primer. If you really want to get one with the unnecessary firing pin spring, get an H&K varient.
