so just finished my FHTF spikes build, i threw in a magpul 20 rounder and the gun ran flawlessly.
my buddy handed me some polymer cased ammo he wanted me to try running through my gun because he was going to give me some for a really good price, i threw some in a promag, and immediately had feeding issues. the magazine looked like it was feeding at a bad angle, and the polymer was getting chewed up. after that, tried my magpul again with my regular ammo. fed fine but wouldn't extract. had to pull the charging handle to extract every round after that. so i got home, took the bcg apart, looked over the extractor and everything seemed fine. cleaned the barrel and other areas just in case some polymer got jammed in there, but there was none. i've just purchased the bcm extractor upgrade kit, since i've read that helps solve alot of FTE issues. so do you guys think this will fix it? should i just wait til i get it, try running it and try diagnosing it from there? the gun has an m16 f/a bcg in it, with the spikes st-t2 heavy buffer. |
