I just recently built a new AR. After it completed, i tried to cycle a few rounds to check if everything is in order before i go to the range.
After 5-6 rounds. My bolt carrier is stuck in the chamber. There is one round inside. Put it back together. Go to a safe area outside and collapse the stock. Take a knee and with one hand on the charging handle and one hand holding the rifle with the foregrip, smack the buttstock on the ground while pulling the charging handle rearward. This should free it up. Stuck case is probably due to a dirty chamber. Clean it well with a chamber brush.  |

I don't think it's dirt problem. Good idea to give it a thorough cleaning before shooting it regardless. There could be some grease/junk in the chamber from manufacturing. |

I guess I am a little confused as to the series of events then… So you were cycling it with live ammo, a round got stuck and you cant pull back on the charging handle. You removed the takedown pin and it opened, but now it wont close? This is where i am confused if the bolt carrier is forward enough to open the rifle like you did it should be forward enough to shoot. How can you not put it back together? Where is it hitting? Put it back together take it to the range and fire the live round that is in the chamber….

I think you said you had already closed the upper on the lower and had cycled a few rounds so it might not be the issue. Your issue is still a little confusing...need more details or more pics to help you troubleshoot. |
| .Ok I have just finished a build and have never shot it but put some rounds in and cycled it first few got jammed then started to cycle well be I went to inspect the brass and they all had little tiny dings in the primer and scratches on the rim of the case. I do not know if this is normal |

I do not know if this is normaall normal. Primer dings are from the firing pin hitting them while chambering. Scratches are from extractor marks. |
