Hey guys so here is my problem when I lock my bolt to the rear my bolt catch just kind of falls back up against the upper receiver instead of locking under pressure and when this happens I can either pull my charging handle back again and it may catch if it doesn't I have to smack the stock on the ground to send the bolt forward any thoughts?

After the last round is fired in a magazine and while manually cycling the rifle, does you bolt carrier assembly lock back on an empty magazine (where the magazine follower pushed upward and is locked up on the front of the bolt lugs)?

Sounds like your bolt catch buffer may be missing, broken, or either turned the wrong way.  Did you assemble it yourself, or buy it as a whole?

I had an extended bolt release installed and it was doing that. It got bent so I attempted to bend it back and when it snapped i didnt see the bolt catch plunger in there but the guy who installed it insured me he did put it in there but theres no way it was.
