I have just built my first AR from AK parts. After about 80 rounds during cleaning I noticed marks on the trigger sear.
Read the treads on trigger work and breaking through the  case hardening.

lets see if this works. Don't jong me for the ak parts kits.. I am looking to upgrade the trigger anyway. just checking to see if this is a early indication
of inadequate case hardening. Was going to polish the searface's w/ 800grit and do the 50cent trigger upgrade,.
Just because it is mine.. haven't chosen a trigger yet but don't need a $200 trigger either. would like to be near 3#'s
Peace but be prepared otherwise.

Any indenting on the trigger sear surface is screaming that the sear surface was not heat treated hard enough/correctly!!!!
Not sure where you got the parts, but they are crap and should be returned for a full refund.

Well I'll keep an eye on the indenting. Thanks for the reply. since I can't feel it w/ my fingernail I assume " yeah I know" that the indentation is less than a few thousandths.
Not sure if this is work hardening on the face. I don't want to start polishing it out if thats the norm.
haven't broke out my visual gauge I use for machine shop work to see the grade of polishing they used.
Does any one have pics of their trigger face to compare?? say something with a few thousand down range.
Just for comparison. Thanks

Do yourself a big favor and take any and all parts you received from AKparts and throw them directly in the trash.

Same thing. Blackthorne Products LLC. Do not walk but run and run fast from anything connected to Blackthorne. I wouldn't even put that shit on a squirt gun and expect it to work. Blackthorne makes UTG look like tier1, high speed, battle proven gear. I hear China won't even sell it.

Still feeling the love.. this is blackthorne's response
No, it is normal for the trigger to have marks where it catches the hammer.  We would suggest that you take it to a gunsmith to check out as your lower receiver could be out of spec (we do not have an FFL so it is illegal for you to ship your lower to us)  We do state right on your sales receipt that the parts kits should be assembled by a qualified gunsmith, just to be safe.

Please see our entire line of products at WWW.BLACKTHORNEPRODUCTS.COM
My lower is a LRB so It's not like I screwed the pooch whils milling my 80%
If anyone has some pics and round count of their FRG's I'd appreciate the beta
