| I have a stag upper and noticed that the brass deflector is putting a ding in every fired case. I can see on the deflector there is a spot the paint is worn off. I am planning to reload my ammo like I do my other calibers so I don't want damaged cases. Anyone familiar with this on a stag upper, can I dremel some off the deflector? I have a friend that had the same issue but it was a S&W and not the same spot. |

Stick a small square of velcro onto the brass deflector. Will reduce case dings.
Clean the soft brass smear from the hard black finish with good solvent, the brass marks will clean up. When you reload, the die will iron out dent/dings to the case. If you are getting really bashed in casings from the empty hitting the edge of the ejection port, you have other issues. Photos would help. |

Photos of the dented casings, and where you believe they are striking. Use a close up setting (macro) and be steady so as not to get fuzzy/out of focus pictures. Either way, seems like you have a good running rifle that you can enjoy shooting. The brass will get dented up from firing and it gets ironed out when reloading. |
