Ok I am putting this out there in preperation for what I may end up having to do.  I don't know alot about trouble shooting AR's my forte is in pistols.  I will detail the issue and see if someone can offer up a suggestion.
I recently purchased a used but unfired AR15 from an individual.  The rifle arrived in pristine condition, and to the best I can tell it did not looked like it had ever had a round through it.  So this issue does not reflect on the person I picked it up from at all.  I have no doubt he was unauware of this.

This is an AR15 from a known manufacturer it is a complete rifle not a build, 14.5 barrel 1:7 twist MP tested with a pin and welded phantom FH, F marked sight base.  Commericial AR15 BCG.  Everything else is pretty standrard.  I took the rifle to the range to zero it and here is where the problem arose.  I have a Magpul gen 2 back up sight.  With the rear sight adjusted all the way right for windage and the front sight post elevated to the point of almost falling out, the goups are 2 to 3 inches high and 2 to 3 inches left.  The groups were consistant though the rounds were not all over the place.  They were roughly 3 inch groups.   I was sighting the rifle in at 50 yards.  I used remmington 55 gr and fiocci 55 gr  FMJ.  Both brands produced the same result.  This was also conducted with a A.R.M.S. 40L off of another AR that is properly sighted in.  I also used a Primary Arms M4 clone with the same results.  I have to the best of my ability checked to see if the front sight base is straight and not canted.  It appears to be straight.  The front sight is also pined not held with screws.  I have contacted the manufacturer and am waiting to hear back from them to see if they will  offer to help.  I know I am not the original owner, but it never hurts to call.  Can any one offer up a suggestion should the manufacturer decline to help out.  I would like to know what  I might be able to do short of buying a new upper.  That would of course be a last resort.  Thanks for any suggestions.  TXPO

If the upper is a factory build unit, and the barrel has not been bent after the fact, see no reason that they would not warranty it.

But the fact remains that it does sound like either the barrel, or upper receiver barrel socket was bent, and the reason for it shooting high.  As forshooting left, may be that the barrel slipped in the upper barrel socket when it was tightened, but could be the above problem as well.

As long as the upper receiver barrel socket has not been cracked, it can be trued, and the same with the barrel (but you looking at shop charges since chances are this happened after it left the shop).

Lastly, take a good look at the bore of the FS.  Could be just the muzzle bent when the FS was heated, and you are getting bullet strikes to the bore of the FS, cause the off grouping as well.
