I Just got a build CMMG upper, when simply chambering a round I get a light strike on the primer.

My concern with this is if it sets a round off while chambering.

Any advice?

Normal.
The firing pin is free floating (not under spring tension like other designs) and when the BCG slams forward, the firing pin makes light contact with the primer.

This is very true I like to make fake bullets by removing the gun powder and I also notice marks from the firing pin when I cycle these rounds... Ive just learned to waste the primer before putting back on the bullet and painting them red........But the answer is yes I notice even my Aks will do this also......So its not a problem you must look into....

When people talk about having a "slam fire" is this the same thing...only with enough force to actually ignite the primer?
