Ok, I am assuming its a problem with my hammer or trigger system.  I have about 2 thousand rounds through this this lower, but I stuck a new upper on it after I sold my last one to a friend.  Its a new s&w 15t factory complete upper on a rock river lower with nm 2 stage trigger.  This new issue goes like this.

When the weapon is fired and I keep the trigger pressed down and don't allow the sear to re engage the bolt carrier is getting stuck to the rear half the time till I let go of the trigger.  The hammer is putting to much upward pressure on the carrier for some reason.  I am also getting a lot of wear on only the left side of the hammer, the right side looks new.  I know adco has some version of this trigger they do an upgrade to, but don't know if the pin the replace would fix this issue or not and what's causing this to happen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

What brand of trigger?

Don't allow the sear to re engage the bolt carrier

Is this an open bolt system?

When you let go of the trigger after it holds the bolt to the rear does the trigger follow the bolt into battery?

Not an open boly design, semi auto from about 4 years ago. The trigger doesn't follow, it resets just fine. I started learing about this problem when I did a function check with this gun.  Its worse when you cycle the weapon slowly by hand, it always stays to the rear when done like that. It is a rock river national match two stage trigger.

I should be able to get some pictures up by tonight when I get off work.  I just got off the phone with rock river as well, they were awsome. They will be paying for shipping both ways, they do a 24 hour turn around time for LEO, and they are doing what S&W wouldnt which is to take a look at it.  They said it sounds like a tollerance issue between the hight of the trigger and hammer and the carrier.  I am very pleased with the way they are dealing with this.
