I put a new buffer tube on my M4 and somehow in the process the little spring that goes into the tiny hole on the back of the lower, if that makes sense, got bent somehow. Does that little spring hold the buffer retainer in place somehow?
Because what happens is I put the buffer and spring in, put in the retainer and spring, everything looks good, then I charge the rifle and the retainer pops out of place again. So what holds the buffer retainer in place and why does mine keep popping out? Is it that litte spring?
