16" middy with a new BCM extractor spring upgrade is slightly denting cases? I am guessing that the new spring is too much? |

Your cases are probably getting dented by the brass deflector when they are ejecting. I'd leave the extractor spring alone and cushion the brass deflector with a small piece of rubber. Some people use the loop side of a piece of velcro to pad the deflector.
Then again, if the dents aren't too bad, don't do anything. Often sizing them will iron out the dents. |
