| I have a newer DPMS AR-15. I bought it from a reliable sourse, but now when I shoot the weapon it jams every other round. Some times the round doesnt feed. Other times rounds will feed on top of each other. I have properly cleaned the weapon before I shot it, but there was no change. I cant see an obvious damage the bolt carrier, chamber, etc. I was wondering what could be some other possible cause. A friend a mine suggested that steel cases ammunition was to blame. Could that be true? |

Yes it double feeds. I have two plain aluminum magazines. one 10 and a 30 All the double feeding and most jamming I have ever experienced was mag related. Could be the lips are spread out a little or the follower is tilting or hanging up. One thing you can try is disassembling and cleaning your current mags and then try again ... or just order some new quality mags and see what happens.
