Put on new grip from Magpul once installed put gun back together and found that my selector switch is just flopping around comes out of gun.I installed the spring in the grip did i loose something?

There should be a little brass detent between the spring and safety selector.

Yup you probably lost the detent in the carpet somewhere. Good luck finding it!
This is an XCR but the detent should look pretty much the same:
