OK, I have to ask what would cause the title of this thread.
I thought it was a gas tube/gas block issue so I replaced both of those, nope that did not fix it.
It was not until I replaced my BC BCG with a LT BCG that the problem cleared.
I only have about 2000 rounds thru this weapon so I was curious as to why  the BCG was the issue.

Any thoughts?

Check gas key, gas key screws, bolt channel, cam pin channel, mic exterior dimensions and compare it to your LT carrier.

If the BC first worked, then had problems I would check the key for leaking, and maybe even the rings for being worn out.

If problems all along, then the above and even the depth of the bolt face to the lugs as well for tight head spacing.
