[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Installing new BCG

I just got my new BCM upper/bcg/ch today and was assembling everything. I watched a video on Brownells and the guy said that after the BCG is locked into place, you should be able to stick your finger in the back and slide it in and out with little resistance. My BCG move, but there's quite a bit of resistance. Normal on new parts?

Mine were tight until I shot them. You have nothing to worry about unless your really really prying at it.

And one last thing, the BCG came in a plastic bag that also has a little black o-ring that about 1/4". I have no clue what that's for, unless it's a spare?

It is a spare O ring for your extractor. Keep it in case yours wears out. (if your not sure to what i am talking about i can post a link so you can see)

Great, thanks! I actually found a link that says BCM includes it as an extra to be used if there are extractor problems. Apparently their spring is strong enough to not need one.
