I have a new build that is trying to pull the rim of the cartridge off when ejected.  Can anyone give me any guidance to what is happening?  This certain barrel seems to scar the bullet when chambered.

Some thoughts:

Possible tight chamber

Might be unlocking too early. Try a heavier buffer.

Did you fully clean the chamber (read a chamber brush and solvent) and the rest of the rifle before shooting it.

When you cleaned the rifle, you did not use hoppes copper solvernt, and did use CLP to correctly lube the upper bearing areas of the rig?

Bottom line here, it sounds like some time should be spent in cleaning forum to learn how and what to use to correctly clean and lube the rifle from the start.

You are correct I was using a solvent breaking the barrel in per manufacturer.  Cleaned chamber area and had some improvement.  Removed the o ring from extractor at the same time and do not know which has made the improvement.  Still marks rim of cartridge but not as bad.  Have a buffer that came with the RR lower.   What buffer should I try?
