I guess I don't know what I'm doing here, but I can't get the buffer spring retention pin and buffer spring retention spring to hold the buffer and spring in place when I pull back on the charging handle/BCG. I can pull back on it once and hear the pin and or spring bouncing around in my lower. Is there something that is suppossed to hold in place the buffer spring retention pin and buffer spring retention spring? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The stock extension is supposed to screw into the lower  far enough to cover a portion of the pin and hold the pin and spring  in place in the lower.

Yeah I know. I don't know what my problem was. Major brainfart!!!!!  I found a site where some one was replacing their stock and wanted to slap myself after I found what I needed. Thanks for the help.

Should note that on some carbine receiver extensions (read cheap units), you will have to shorten the end of the tube a hair to both allow the tube to butt stock index correctly, and the end of the tube to just kiss the center post of the retainer as well.

Also, if you shorten the bottom of the tube, you will need to do so on the top as well so the top threads do not protrude past the inside of the receiver thread, which will block the upper from locking home,
